Thu Sept 25 Benj Rowland – Live Folk Music

7pm Oakdene Centre, Bear River. $15. Don’t miss an evening of beautiful, haunting folk music with Benj Rowland—the gifted instrumentalist and songwriter known for his work with Canadian duo Mayhemingways. Thur Oct 2 The Lifer's Honesty Album Release — with special guest SOUL RAE

8 pm Oakdene Centre, Bear River. The Lifers embarked on their first cross-Canada tour in 2015 and have since earned their place as a powerful live act, deeply respected within multiple music scenes across Canada, the US, and Europe. Their new album Honesty, produced by Sam Gleason (Jeremy Dutcher, Charlotte Cornfield), is a collection of post-folk caresses and indie-rock bangers, addressing sexual trauma and intergenerational pain with compassionate strength.
