Fri Oct 31 Halloween Party (Children ages 0-5)

10am-3pm The Family Centre, 1 Birch Street, Digby


Fri Oct 31 Trick-or-Treat!

10:00 am - 5:00 pm Digby Library. Children can stop by the library wearing their Halloween costume and get a treat … if they dare!

Fri Oct 31 Trunk or Treat

5:30 – 7:30 pm Smith’s Cove Fire Dept. 43 North Old Post Road. Prizes for Best Display, Best costume. No forms to be filled out, no pre registration required. Just show up, setup and enjoy amongst community while treaters of all ages have a safe space for candy.

Fri Oct 31 Halloween Dance in aid of MS Society.

9pm – 1 am Meteghan Fire Hall. 31 Connector Road.$10 at the door. Cash bar only Must be 19 years old. Come join us with your Halloween Costume and dance the night away with DJ Avery d’Entremont! Prizes for best costumes 50/50 table. Door prize!


NOVEMBER

November Art Exhibition Digby Alvina Theriault LeBlanc

Digby Library. This exhibit features the watercolour work of Alvina Theriault LeBlanc. A French Acadian from Belliveau’s Cove, the artist has been interested in painting since her childhood. She has taken it more seriously over the past several years, painting anything and everything that catches her eye. Mostly self-taught, she has also taken courses from various artists, concentrating on watercolours. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in November.

Sat Nov 1 SHIFT Digby (Open Gym with sensory considerations)

1:40 – 3 pm Digby Regional High School Gym. Super Happy Interactive Fun Times is an inclusive and accessible Open Gym program for individuals and families who have a neurodiversity. Sat Nov 1 Poet of the Common Man – Tribute to Merle Haggard

7:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal, Music, Adults $40. Join Lawrence Maxwell and the Band of Fugitives as they pay tribute to country music legend Merle Haggard. Take in the turbulent life of ‘The Hag’ through the stories and songs from his train-jumping days in California all the way through his prolific career as one of country music’s most iconic outlaws.


Sun Nov 02 Mrs. Warren’s Profession

3 pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Stage to Screen. Live theatre. Tickets $16.95. Five-time Olivier Award-winner Imelda Staunton (The Crown) joins forces with her real-life daughter Bessie Carter (Bridgerton) for the very first time, playing mother and daughter in Bernard Shaw’s incendiary moral classic. Vivie Warren is a woman ahead of her time. Her mother, however, is a product of that old patriarchal order. Exploiting it has earned Mrs. Warren a fortune – but at what cost?

Wed Nov 5 Job Fair

10 am – 2 pm Nova Scotia Works, Evangeline Mall, 87 Warwick St. Digby. Tri County Regional Centre for Education. Various positions available! Bring your resume and your questions. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your future career!


Wed Nov 05 One Battle After Another
