Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 Adopt-A-Book Campaign
All libraries. People can help put 750 new books on your public library’s shelves. The public library’s Adopt-a-Book campaign puts new books on library shelves throughout the region. Your purchased titles help your library offer the latest books to 16,000 users across Yarmouth, Shelburne and Digby counties. Visit a library branch or westerncounties.ca to support this fundraiser.
Art Exhibition at Weymouth Library – Hika Wagner. This exhibition presents folk art paintings on canvas and wood featuring a variety of animals by artist Hika Wagner. The artist has been painting since 2001 on driftwood, canvas rocks and buoys. She mostly paints animals, and her favorite subjects are cats. The work can be viewed during open hours in November.
