Preparations for Christmas ramp up this week with craft fairs, tree-lighting events, concerts, and plays. Be sure to visit Bear River for their village-wide Winter Market on Saturday.

NOVEMBER

November Art Exhibition Digby Alvina Theriault LeBlanc

Digby Library. This exhibit features the watercolour work of Alvina Theriault LeBlanc. A French Acadian from Belliveau’s Cove, the artist has been interested in painting since her childhood. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in November.


Fri Nov 21 One Love: Bob Marley Tribute

7:30 pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Live Music. Adults $50. The One Love Project is a five-piece band from Montreal that tours internationally wowing audiences with their incredible musicianship! It’s a high-energy show that will have you moving and grooving! An incredible, uplifting experience.

Sun Nov 23 Printmaking workshop

2 – 5pm Oakdene Centre, Bear River. 1913 Clementsvale Road. No materials required and free of charge -- just come as you are and get ready to dive in and have fun creating, exploring the limitless possibilities of printmaking!


Sun Nov 23 Sparkle Dance: The Joy of Christmas

Wed Nov 26 Good Fortune

7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film 14A. Adults $11.95 In Good Fortune, Ansari plays a down-on-his-luck guy who is working myriad jobs. He’s called by his friend (played by Seth Rogen), who lives in the Hollywood Hills, to do various jobs for him – put in a disco floor, fix the pool heater. Keanu Reeves “valley” angel makes it so Rogen’s rich guy situation is swapped with Ansari, so the latter has the former’s life.

Sat Dec 6 Bear River Fire Department Christmas Tree Lighting!

6pm Bear River Fire Dept. Kick off the season by sprinkling Santa’s magic dust to light up our Christmas tree, then stick around for cookies, hot chocolate, and holiday fellowship while you meet and greet Santa himself!


Sun Dec 7 Havelock Wesleyan Christmas Concert

6pm 5507 Highway 340, Hassett. Join us for an incredible night of music and drama celebrating the birth of Jesus. Be sure to bring your family and friends! There will be cake to celebrate!


Thur Dec 11 Baby It’s Cold Outside

7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Adults $20. The Annapolis Basin Community Band invites you to join them for a fun evening of holiday music! The ABCB is a group of community musicians who meet weekly under the direction of Jolene Buchholz. We will be joined by the Annapolis West Education Centre Concert Band for a debut performance. This small, yet mighty group of students began learning their instruments in September under the leadership of Jolene Buchholz.
