Jul 2 Weymouth Library Art Exhibition: A Legacy of Textiles

Weymouth Library exhibits creations made by members of the Weymouth Makers group. They feature a variety of textile techniques. This exhibit celebrates craftsmanship, tradition, and the passing of skills through generations. This exhibit carries more than just fibres. It carries stories, memory, and culture. It connects to both the past and the present. This exhibit is on display during open hours in July and August.

7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film, Comedy, Action. 14A. Adults $11.95. STOP! THAT! TRAIN! follows best friends Tess (Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee), train stewardesses who trade their dreary shifts on the Stank Rail for the glitzy Glamazonian Express. When a catastrophic “Stormaganza” threatens to derail the high-speed train and crash it into Los Angeles, the duo in coach must join forces with the snobby first class attendants (Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia) and President Gagwell (RuPaul) to save the day in this wild ride of camp and comedy.

Wed Jul 22 Exploring Cultural Roots Through Music: Julia Tynes

2-3pm Digby Library Join award-winning African Nova Scotian singer-songwriter Julia Tynes for an interactive music experience full of singing, learning, and joyful expression.

With her signature energy and soulful vocals, Julia leads children and families on a musical journey. Listen to classics like “Rockin’ Robin,” kid-friendly Motown hits, and today’s pop anthems by artists like Taylor Swift. Participants can clap along, move their bodies, and sing out loud as they explore melody, groove, and performance.

Thur Aug 6 “Fishy” Storytime and Games

10-11 am Weymouth Library. Toddlers can play fun games on the library's "fish" mat! Games such as magnetic ABC fishing, letter match fishing, and a fish roll and cover game. Then we'll enjoy a fishy story! Register your child no later than August 5 by contacting the library.
