Summer in July. This month has an array of seasonal events, festivals and fairs that showcase our local culture, cuisine, and crafts. These events feature live music, competitions, and activities for the whole family. Our towns and roads are filled with visitors enjoying our province. Please be patient, kind and safe.

Fri Jul 4 Desert Hearts

7:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film, ‧ Romance/Drama ‧ indie. R. FREE! Donna Deitch’s swooning and sensual first narrative feature, Desert Hearts, was groundbreaking upon its release in 1985: a love story about two women, made entirely independently, on a shoestring budget, by a woman.

Wed Jul 09 Mini Art Exhibit

2 – 4 pm Digby Library. Children can join library staff and create a mini art exhibit. Drop in and grab a tiny canvas and let your creativity run wild.


Wed Jul 9 Materialists

7:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film, Hollywood, Romance, Comedy, $11.95 Adult, $7.95 Youth. 14A. Celine Song (Past Lives) directs a film about a young, ambitious New York City matchmaker who finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex.

7:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Live Music & storytelling. Adults $40. Experience an unforgettable evening of music and storytelling with award-winning artist Christina Martin, performing with her trio PLUS a string trio, together for one incredible show.


Fri Sep 12 Morgan Toney Trio

7:30 pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Live Music. Adults $35. Toney’s debut album First Flight, released on Ishkōdé Records in March of 2022, was nominated for 3 East Coast Music Awards and a Canadian Folk Music Award. First Flight showcases this unique combination, both in the way he transforms traditional songs like the Ko’jua and the Mi’kmaq Honour Song, but also for the new songs he’s creating.


Sat Sep 13 17th Annual Tournament of King’s

The tournament will once again take place at the beautiful Fort View Golf Course, where in addition to 18 holes of golf you will be provided with gourmet lunches prepared by Founders House.


Sat Sep 20 David James and Big River - Johnny Cash Tribute

7:30 pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Adults $40. James and his band look and sound like the legacy of the Man in Black, and when they step on stage, they live it. From the way Cash holds his guitar to the way he talks to his audience, the legendary musician lives again when James steps to the mike and says, “Hello – I’m almost Johnny Cash.”
