August Weymouth Library Art Exhibit: The Art of Relief
The exhibit features original linocut prints by Marcel Saulnier alongside the carved linoleum plates used to create them. The exhibit offers a glimpse into both the process and the product. Informative panels guide visitors through some history, techniques, and tools of linocut, looking at the craftsmanship and creativity behind each impression. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in from Aug. 2 to 30.

Annapolis Royal. The opening ceremonies at the O on Friday night at 5:45 just before the Summer Concert with Radical Soul. Youth dance at the same time at market square. Dances every night of the weekend. Free line dancing classes. Natal Day carnival at the Home Hardware on Sunday. Fireworks will be off the Fort-Anne wharf. BBQ (from 11) and Parade on Monday afternoon. Washer toss (Sun Aug 3 at 10am)

Sat Aug 2 Family Fun Fair
11 am – 2 pm Admiral Digby Museum, 95 Montague Row, Digby. 902-245-6322. Games, a bouncy castle, face painting, fortunes, a photobooth with props, food and prizes. Admission to all activities is PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN and everyone is welcome.

Sat Aug 2 Chris Ricketts: Sea Shanty Folk Singer
7:30pm Music King's Theatre, Annapolis Royal $25 Adults, $10 Youth. Chris has teamed up with Annapolis Royal’s own LIVIN’ THE DREAM — Ray Balcom and Maurice LeClair — rising stars in the East Coast Sea Shanty scene. Their group Livin’ The Dream have played all over the east this year with even bigger events in 2025. Their high energy filled and comedic banter is extremely entertaining.

Tue Aug 5 Play Dough Pond
6 – 7pm Weymouth Library. Children aged three to five can create a pond out of play dough and other natural elements. A story will be read and a game or two will be played by participants. Register no later than 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 by contacting the library.
