Sun Mar 29 Stories That Move

3pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Live Dance. Adults $25. Soft, heartfelt — the gift of story and a dancer’s tribute. Wendy Goudie, Sparkle Dancers, and special guests Meredith Kalaman and Sara Hartland-Rowe. Residents at Digby’s Tideview Terrace Long-term Care Home have been matched with Sparkle Dancers. Each pair has spent time together, with dancers interviewing their paired resident. Hours of conversation about life, memories, choices, troubles and celebrations have been shared by residents and documented by dancers. The youth have then been guided to self choreograph a tribute to their partner. Capturing part of life’s story in a dance, dedicating a moment, and celebrating legacy, these are original choreographies, performed from the heart.
