DARC Summer camps

Aug 18 – 22 Wild West – saddle up for a Wild West adventure

Cost $125 (+HST) per child per week


August Weymouth Library Art Exhibit: The Art of Relief

The exhibit features original linocut prints by Marcel Saulnier alongside the carved linoleum plates used to create them. The exhibit offers a glimpse into both the process and the product. Informative panels guide visitors through some history, techniques, and tools of linocut, looking at the craftsmanship and creativity behind each impression. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in from Aug. 2 to 30.

6 – 8pm Artsplace Symposium, short film and panel discussion, keynote speaker. Kings Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Many hands make… much work! Founding figures of the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council and Paint the Town gather to share memories of the gargantuan challenges and great fun along the way, as they blazed trails, built bridges and broke through to new plateaus. Free.

Sun Aug 17 Smurfs

3pm, Kings Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Animation, Family. Adults $11.95. When Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe.
