Scallop Days Festivities will take over Digby this weekend, celebrating the region's maritime heritage and the beloved scallop. Enjoy various events for all ages, culinary delights and live entertainment. Below is an events listing, so everyone can join in the fun.

August Weymouth Library Art Exhibit: The Art of Relief

The exhibit features original linocut prints by Marcel Saulnier alongside the carved linoleum plates used to create them. The exhibit offers a glimpse into both the process and the product. Informative panels guide visitors through some history, techniques, and tools of linocut, looking at the craftsmanship and creativity behind each impression. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in from Aug. 2 to 30.

Thur Aug 7 Old Man Luedecke in Bear River

7 pm Oakdene Centre, Bear River. $20 at the door. Old Man Luedecke is a two time JUNO award winning and Polaris prize nominated singer songwriter. Known for his high energy banjo driven stompers, touching guitar ballads and dry humorous stories. Luedecke has been making a soundtrack to an authentic life for nearly twenty years.

10:30 to 11 a.m. Digby Library. Children aged five and younger and their caregivers can enjoy stories, songs, and activities about the world around them.

Adults $25/ Youth $20 ART is a hot-headed, laugh out loud, hilarious look play about subjective art can be, and how differing of opinions can leave people struggling to understand the viewpoints of others. Wed Aug 27 My Mother’s Wedding
