Weymouth Art Exhibition - Needle in Hand, Felt It
Last day to see Needle felted art by Wendy Mellor!
Apr 1 to Apr 30 Free Low Income Tax Clinic
12:30-4:30 pm Digby Library. Appointments are available on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in March and April. Get your income tax filed at the library! CRA registered volunteers will file your taxes online. Drop your forms off during library open hours, or book an appointment to file in person.
May Exhibition at Weymouth Library – Len Dow
Display from May 5 to 30 during open hours. Dow paints with acrylic on canvas. His love of Nova Scotia and fishing boats is represented in this exhibit. This collection is titled La Baie Saint Marie est mon petit coin du monde (1755).

Fri May 1 The Skeleton Dance
7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Theatre. Adults $25. In The Skeleton Dance, two young children process the news that their Great Uncle Trout has suddenly passed away. They consider the implications of this in an entertaining, irreverent way, where the audience is privy to their many whimsical theories about death. Emma & Ella believe that everyone has grieved something, be it a loved one, important events, or normalcy. The goal of The Skeleton Dance is to provoke thought about the ways in which we respond to hardship and comfort one another.

Sat May 2 & Sun May 3 Acting in Ensemble Workshop
King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Starting with the ancient dynamics of the player and chorus, theatre has always involved a delicate relationship between the people on stage. How do we support and challenge our fellow actors? When do we step into the spotlight and when do we step back into the shadows? As individuals and as a group, how can we draw the attention of audiences? What does it take for a group to conjure exciting moments of theatre? Using games, exercises and short performance scenarios, we will explore these questions in this two-day workshop. This workshop is FREE, but space is limited and Registration is required.

A Community Information Event hosted by the Annapolis Basin Protectors, a citizen-led advocacy group opposing the proposed expansion of the fish farm in the Port Wade area of the Annapolis Basin, Nova Scotia. They are committed to protecting water quality, marine habitats and our way of life. The event includes speakers, discussion, and a screening of Silver Donald Cameron’s Salmon Wars. Free. Donations welcome.
