Rocky Horror broke taboos around gender, sexuality, and performance—becoming a cult refuge for outsiders and queer communities for generations. Now, in rural Nova Scotia, queer culture continues to evolve and invite everyone to participate, in direct opposition to growing global tensions, making this production more vital than ever. After a sold out run in Wolfville in the Fall of 2025, this high energy, vaudville-style, gender-bending production comes to the King’s Theatre stage on Halloween night, featuring a dozen actors and a live band.

NOVEMBER
Sun Nov 1 Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte
2pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Stage to Screen. Adults $18.95. Overflowing with gorgeous melody and hilarious hijinks, Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love is one of the composer’s most sublime creations. Phelim McDermott’s “colorful, inventive” (The New York Times) staging, inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s, sets the uproarious story at a boardwalk amusement park, where the two pairs of lovers at the heart of the tale find themselves on one emotional—and literal—thrill ride after another.
Sun Nov 1 Verity
6:30pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film, Thriller, Mystery, Drama 14A. Adults $11.95. Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
Tue Nov 4 Preventing Fraud and Scams
6:30-8pm Upper Clements Hall, 2951 Hwy 1, Upper Clements. Presenter Sharon Elliot, RCMP. Everyone welcome. Upperclementshall.ca
Wed Nov 4 The Delivery Line: Midwives on the Frontline
7pm King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal. Film. Documentary. Adults $11.95. Award-winning filmmaker Nance Ackerman will be present! At the edge of the earth, on the borders between cultures and countries, on the front lines of war, poverty, isolation and migration…women are still giving birth. And midwives are risking everything to help them. The Delivery Line documents the stories of midwives from around the globe –Afghanistan, Mexico, Colombia, Nigeria and Canada – who are saving mothers and their babies from the perils of their surroundings and creating a safe space to bring new life into the world.
