April - May 2019

April - Easter is next weekend and the libraries have put together a number of fun things to do for various ages. They are also celebrating Canadian Film Day so each is showing a different Canadian film. Besides the Easter Services, some churches are providing Easter Egg hunts, the Legion is hosting Kitchen Parties and Meat Draws and we have Bonded Stock appearing for a benefit and then a Spring Concert at the end of the month. Thanks for all the ideas to Wake Up Weymouth - look for the special piece in this issue which tells a little more about where that campaign is going.

May - May has Mothers' Day so once again the libraries are providing events specially for that. The garden centers will be opening and there is a Penny Sale in aid of the Canada Day activities. The new bouncy castles were very popular last year, but must be booked and paid for early, so jump up and join in, and support this very worthy cause.
