August still has the art exhibition at the Admiral Digby Museum, and the Art Expo at Saint Bernard’s Church. The last Weymouth Library Wednesday event is a showing of a film about making underwater films (Aug 16). The Annapolis Valley Exhibition is on until the 19th and Weymouth Church of Christ has “How to Control Your Attitude” (Aug 21-23).There’s a benefit for Claudette Wright on Saturday 26 at the Havelock Community Center and a Bee Showcase at the community kitchen in Digby on the same day. On Thursday 31 please come out and join in the Canada Day Planning Committee, before heading out to the Wharf Rat Rally in Digby all weekend.
September has several “biking” events on the calendar so far - the Wharf Rat Rally in Digby runs until Sept 3, the Tour de New France is a mountain bike event (Sept 16) and the Gran Fondo is a bike race through Clare with four routes (Sept 24).The ATV jamboree is in Little Brook from Sept 22-24, then there is a fun run under the stars in Yarmouth at the airport on Sept 9.
